BALLSTON SPA - James M Walser, 74, of Pine Grove Ave, died Friday Nov. 16th in the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his side. Born in Toledo, OH on August 14, 1944, son of the late James and Mildred Walser and brother of the late Jacqueline Walser, Jim and family lived in Woodland Beach, MI before moving to the Albany area in 1952. As a young man, Jim was an accomplished golfer who played in many local amateur events. He was an avid model train collector, and also enjoyed home brewing. Jim was also a huge Syracuse University Orange fan. He cherished the many summer memories he and his family shared at the Schroon Lake family camp.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Diane Sweeney Walser whom he married on November 12, 1983, children Karen(Bill) Parlapiano of Ballston Spa, Kimberly(Ronald) McCumber of Surprise, AZ, Stacey(Shane) Savage of Malta and Michael(Kristina) Walser of Saratoga Springs, grandchildren Haley, Joshua, Tyler and Nicholas Parlapiano, Abigail McCumber, his former wife Ilah Sisson Walser and several nieces and nephews.
