Obituary for Mary M. Terrell (Chiera)

Mary M. Terrell (Chiera)
STILLWATER - Mary M. Terrell, 76, of Dorchester Dr, died peacefully at her son’s home on Wednesday, June 28th, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, May 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hotaling Chiera and wife of the late William M. Terrell, Sr who died this past December. She was also predeceased by her brother John Chiera.
A waitress for most of her life, Mary worked for the former Tironi’s Restaurant in Waterford and later retired from Kmart in Saratoga Springs, where she also waitressed. Mary proudly attended A.A. meetings for almost 40 years, sponsoring many other members and always willing to talk other members through their toughest times. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling, coloring and crosswords, and especially loved traveling. Above all else, Mary was a doting grandmother of 9. She cherished the time she was able to spend with them all.
Survivors include her children, Darsie Lamphere of Stillwater, William Terrell, Jr., of Bolton Landing, Kathryn Terrell of Schenectady, Frank(Kelly Collins) Walek of Stillwater, Joseph(Cynthia) Walek, Jr., of Waterford and James(Terri) Terrell of Stony Creek, grandchildren Michael and Jeffrey Thomas, Frank Walek, Jr, Joseph Walek, III, Alisa and Robert Walek, Samantha, Allison and Ben Terrell and her siblings Thomas and Frank Chiera, Theresa Holmes and Joseph Chiera, along with beloved nieces and nephews.
