MECHANICVILLE - Gloria J. Zullo, 81, of East Street, died Saturday, Jan 28th at Samaritan Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Altona, NY Feb 21, 1935, daughter of the late Urles and Evelyn King, Gloria was a homemaker who along with her husband Tony and kids lived in Mechanicville, moved to New Jersey in 1969 and relocated back to Mechanicville in 1988.
Along with Tony, they formed a music company, Charity Entertainment, providing musical entertainment to Veterans Hospital, Nursing Homes and Senior Centers. Gloria enjoyed singing and making other peoples lives better.
She along with her husband were very involved with the Boy and Girl Scouts, Gloria being a den leader for the Boy Scouts and Troop leader for the Girl Scouts.
She enjoyed crocheting, was a great puzzle solver and was a computer wiz. A communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Church and past secretary of the Rosary Altar Society.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Tony in 2005, along with a sister Barbara Nutting.
Survivors include children: William (Susan Goldstein) Zullo of Marlton, NJ, Bonnie (David) Brown of Mechanicville, Nicholas Zullo of Pennsville, NJ and Angelo (Paula) Zullo of Stillwater. Twelve grandchildren: Heather, Tammy, Nicole, Angeline, Joseph, Michael, Anthony, Caroline, Cassidy, Kaela, Dominique and Madison. A brother Larry King of Florida and sisters Veronica Stevens of Saratoga Springs and Geraldine Picard of Halfmoon, along with nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
Remembrances may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or an Animal Shelter or Rescue facility.
