Obituary for Lucille M. Acerra (Bisson)

Lucille M.  Acerra (Bisson)
MECHANICVILLE - Mrs. Lucille Bisson Acerra, 87, of South Third Ave., died Saturday March 5th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy after a short illness.
Born in Woodsville, NH, Dec 7, 1928, daughter of the late Albert and DesNeiges Bisson, Lucille was a clerk for the NYS Retirement System for 10 years before retirement. Previously she had worked at the Lincoln Baths of Saratoga Spa and the former Central Dairy of Mechanicville.
She was a former Democratic Party committeewoman in the City of Mechanicville for years. Her family describes Lucille as an incredible baker and cook. She was a happy person and a social butterfly, she loved people. Over the years, she took care of a number of children and looked after neighbors and friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Michael Acerra in 1993, son Michael in 1995 and her sister Lorraine Fellows.
Survivors include her sons Richard (Jill) Acerra of Johnsonville and Ronald Acerra of Ithaca, daughter-in-law Susan Acerra of Mechanicville, 9 grand and 10 great grandchildren. Also her sisters Pauline Maynard, Joan Pucci and Diane (Dom) DiNallo all of Mechanicville and Denise Bisson of Albany, along with nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial in Hudson View Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of NENY Chapter, 455 Patroon Creek Blvd, Albany 12206.
