MECHANICVILLE - Rose D. Clements, 89, of Round Lake Ave., died Sunday morning, March 22nd, in the loving company of her family at Saratoga Care, Ballston Spa, after an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, born Jan. 17, 1926, daughter of the late Biagio and Marie Vannucci Carbone, Rose worked for the former Korell Dress Co. and Standard Manufacturing of Troy. In the early 1970’s, Rose left the work force to stay home and lovingly take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
An avid walker, Rose would be seen moving at a brisk pace, and enjoyed cooking for family and solving crossword puzzles. She was a communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Church.
Her husband of 58 years, Peter A Clements, Jr died in 2008 and also predeceased by her sister Dolores and brother Carl Carbone.
Survivors include her five children: Sharon Clements, Rose (Chuck) Hamm, MPD Ret. Chief of Police Peter A. (Kim) Clements III, Dominick (Jackie) Clements and David (Debbie) Clements.
Also 12 grand and 13 great grandchildren, sisters Mary Lavazzo and Anna “Pat” Tomaro, and brothers Kenneth, Joseph and William Carbone, along with in-laws, a number of nieces, nephews and their families. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville.
Burial in Saratoga National Cemetery.
