MECHANICVILLE – Helen Festa Isabella, 88, of Broadway, died suddenly Wednesday, April 25th, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy, after being stricken at home.
Born in Mechanicville, May 20, 1923, she was daughter of the late Sylvester and Margaret Forino Festa, and widow of Edward Isabella, who died Dec. 27, 2010.
Helen grew up and was educated in Mechanicville, and lived most of her married life in Mont Pleasant area of Schenectady, before moving back to her hometown last year.
She was a longtime seamstress for the former Korell Dress Co. in Mechanicville and Schenectady before retiring.

Helen enjoyed her family, especially her nieces, nephews and their families.
Survivors include her two brothers, Anthony and Sylvester Festa, Jr. both of Mechanicville, her sister Rita (Frank) D’Ambrosio of Mechanicville, along with her nieces and nephews.
Helen was also predeceased by her sisters Rose Perrotta and Carmella D’Amico and her nephew Carmen D’Amico.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9 AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church (St. Paul’s) 121 No. Main St. with entombment in St. Paul’s Mausoleum.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main At., Mechanicville on Sunday from 2-4 PM.
