Uncle Joe has always been part of my life. My earliest memories include him. My sister and I spent our summers with Aunt Vicky and Uncle Joe. Later, my own children got to visit NY and have that wonderful experience. Aunt Vicky and Uncle Joe took us everywhere. My fondest memories are of Camp Jovic....of canoeing, campfires, swimming, and fishing on the lake. Most of all I remember the good times i had with Aunt Vicky and Uncle Joe. They shaped my life in a way that i'm only fully realizing as an adult. When I expressed my condololences to Uncle Joe over the loss of his sister a few years ago, he said, "Well, Andie, we come and we go". I'll never forget that. We do come and go, but it's the life we live in between that counts. Uncle Joe gave so much to us and his life truly counted. He left behind things that truly last....like hard work, beautiful wood workings, the house he and Aunt Vicky shared and camp they built, being a wonderful Husband, Uncle and Godfather, helping Aunt Vicky care for our Grandmother who lived to be 102, and his straight to the point truisims. Yes, we come and we go. Uncle Joe will be missed and we are grateful for the time we had with him. Aunt Vicky and Uncle Joe....the two names will be forever linked together with family, with cornerstone, with permanence, with love, and joy. We will NEVER forget you Uncle Joe. Love Andie Dekan Regg
