STILLWATER – Robert E. Vinehout, Sr., 82, of Palmer Street, died Monday, April 8th at home, after a short illness. Born in Stillwater, January 31, 1931, he was son of the late John and Mildred VanPatten Vinehout and brother of the late William and Charles Vinehout. Bob worked many years at the former Freidricksons Barrel Co. in Waterford, and later helped out the Alonzo Fireworks Co. of Stillwater. Fishing was a passion of Bob’s, as was NASCAR and the stock car racing circuit. A kind and quiet man, Bob kept to himself, but would always speak his mind. His thoughts were “tell it like it is and you get what you see”. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Diane Bressette Vinehout, daughter Deborah Obama and son Robert, Jr. both of No. Carolina, granddaughters Deborah Anna and Gabriela Nancy Christenson along with his sister Joan Doten of Ballston Spa and nieces, nephews and families. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday at 11 AM at Stillwater United Church, 135 Hudson Ave., Stillwater. Burial in Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville. Calling hours at the Church on Saturday from 9-10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Stillwater United Church or the Church’s Food Pantry, in memory of Robert E. Vinehout, Sr.
