Condolence From: Jon Eizinger
Condolence: Kristy,
Im so sorry to hear about Tony's death, I had no idea this had happened. Tony and I were in the JEFF program together and he was a friend to me during that time. He was always so good to his people and was cheerful in a war zone that was not. I remember one day he just showed up at my lab in Ramadi Iraq (JEFF2A) and I was so happy to see him and we had such a good time joking around. Later I was working with him at Bagram (JEFF 5) and everyday he would come see me to see how things were going. I always knew I could count on Tony and he always made me feel welcomed and at peace when he was around. Again Im very sorry to hear about this, please know Tony touched many peoples lives and will be missed.

Condolence: To the Salvadore Family: Tony was a great man but you already knew that. I will forever be grateful for his words of encouragement as I embarked on my adventure to Afghanistan. Tony made sure I had everything I needed both stateside and downrange. I pray that God's loving arms comfort you during this time of grief. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. With Love, Damon Burman

Condolence From: Joe Rubino
Condolence: I met Tony when he came to visit Mechancville from Detroit while we were in high school. In the winter we would go skiing at Willard Mountain. I remember one time we went up skiing after a snow storm. We were skiing a trail called Joe's Special. Tony had fallen and I came up behind him, stopped abruptly and buried him in snow (on purpose). I got him good. He was in pain from his fall, buried in snow and man was he mad! Tony got situated and as we got underway and he went from being mad to expressing his disappointment about how that wasn't cool and I felt bad. The situation was short lived and we skied a few more days and had a great week. I'll remember those times forever. As I read his obituary, what an accomplished life he led. Condolences to your family, thanks you for your service and may my old ski buddy rest in peace.

Condolence From: 1SG (RET) J.B. FRAZIER
Condolence: My condolences to the Salvatore famoly and friends. I was thinking about my first assignment as a 1SG under then CPT Salvadore in Kosovo.

When I told him I was SF 49er fan, he had his family member that worked for the team get me a mini helmet signed by then then starting Quarterback Alex Smith. he will be thought of everyday, because that football helmet will continue to sit on my TV stand forever.

Great heart, he will be missed.

In all things give thanks for the time he was here in your life. i am sorry I won’t be able to attend the homegoing service due to being out of town.

Condolence: Tony was a great guy! When you met him it felt like you had known him forever. I was with him at the Baghdad lab and again at BAE for about 3 years. I always enjoyed our conversations. I posted a photo taken at BIAP when Aaron Fullerton (firearm examiner at JEFF3) was going back home in July 2008. Tony was always there when we had flights in or out to make sure we didn't have any problems. Steven Johnson is right - America owes Tony a debt of gratitude for his dedicated service. He was just fantastic! My prayers are with all his family at this most difficult time.

Condolence From: Jay Greeley (aka "XO")
Condolence: Tony was a Patriot. Down to earth and caring for every Soldier he came in contact with. He always treated people with incredible dignity even when frankly they didn't reciprocate the action or deserve it. I admired him tremendously and learned a great deal from him as a person and as a leader. Over 10 years ago, as his company executive officer, he referred to me very loudly as his "XO". A nick name that I still hear from time to time shouted across a parking lot from a fellow veteran in Virginia. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to know him. His personality was a unique treasure that leveraged the best from everyone he met.
