Obituary for Louis J. Peluso

CLIFTON PARK - Louis J. Peluso, 85, died Friday, Feb 2nd at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehab Ctr, Philmont, after a short illness.
Born in Mechanicville, Sept. 3, 1938, son of the late James and Doris Pierre Peluso, Lou was a 1956 graduate of Mechanicville High School. Lou served honorably with the US Army from 1959-1961.
Lou worked at the former West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co. in Mechanicville until the plant closed in 1971. He then worked for 20 years at Bobrick Washroom Equipment Co in Clifton Park retiring in 2000.
For a number of years, Lou delivered bread for Valente Bakery of Saratoga Springs and Colarusso Bakery of Mechanicville.
A former member of the Italian Fraternal Society of Mechanicville and Italian Community Center of Troy, Lou enjoyed playing bocce ball, was a first class billiard player and bowling standout for many years. Lateer in life, Lou did volunteer work at the Clifton Park Senior Community Ctr.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Bonnie Lewis Peluso, son Stephen (Linda) Peluso of Clifton Park, grandchildren: Anthony and Jordan Peluso, brother-in-law Donald Rougia, Sr, along with niece, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, predeceased by his sister Theresa Rougia.
A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Wednesday at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Interment with military honors to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling Hour at Funeral Home from Noon to 1 PM.
