Obituary for Carol A. Keefer

MECHANICVILLE - Carol A. Keefer, 75, of Mid Rise Apartments, died peacefully in her sleep, New Years Day, in the comfort of her home. Born in Troy on May 5, 1948, daughter of the late Howard and Margaret Saunders Keefer, she attended Mechanicville High School.
A homemaker most of her life, Carol true passion in life came with the birth of her grandson Joshua. She cherished her daily routine of providing care to him until he was old enough to take care of himself.
Carol enjoyed her daily Search-A-Word puzzles, as well as playing Yahtzee. She also loved her weekly Bingo game on Tuesdays with the girls. She also found companionship with her grand doggy, Buddy.
Sadly, Carol was predeceased by the love of her life, Fred F. Thompson, Sr, her beloved son Fred F. Thompson, Jr., and siblings Ronald Keefer, Diana Orlogio, and Howard Keefer, Sr.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law and grandson Roberta and Joshua Thompson of Mechanicville, along with many nieces, nephews and their families. Also her dearest friend Sharon(Gary) Brunick and family who always provided unconditional support and care to Carol through the years.
Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St. Mechanicville, NY 12118 on Friday from 12-2PM. A Funeral Home service at 2PM will be followed by burial in Hudson View Cemetery, alongside her dearest Fred Sr.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Carol A. Keefer.
