Obituary for Patricia Anne Tomaski (DeVito)

MECHANCVILLE - Patricia Anne Tomaski “Patti”, 81, died peacefully on December 30, 2023 at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice, just days after suffering a medical condition at her home in Dallas, GA. Born on January 15, 1942, daughter of the late Orlando and Mary Valentino DeVito, she was a 1959 Mechanicville High School graduate.

A longtime resident of Ballston Spa, NY, Patti worked for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance in Menands, then worked at General Electric, Schenectady for 20 years. She, alongside her husband Robert “Bob”, then owned and operated Leeders Video, a retail equipment sales and video rental shop in Niskayuna for six years, where she oversaw the everyday operations of the business. Patti ended her career working for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance in Albany.

Patti and Bob have lived in Georgia since moving there after retirement in 2005. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and playing slot machines at the Racino in Saratoga Springs. Her life centered on her family, especially her grandchildren. She always tried to attend their academic and athletic events and she cherished the time she was able to spend with them through the years.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Robert M. Tomaski, Sr, whom she married November 27, 1966, her children Robert (Kathleen) Tomaski Jr, of Saratoga Springs, NY, Anna Marie (James) Kelleher of Savannah, GA, and Christen (Christopher) Pendleton of Dallas, GA, grandchildren Meghan and Elizabeth Tomaski, Morgan and Justin Kelleher, and Brittany and Andrew Pendleton. Also, her siblings Orlando “Earl” (Clorinda) DeVito, Rosemarie (Frank) Rossi, and Joseph (Linda) DeVito, sister-in-law Rose DeVito, and many nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.
