Obituary for Thomas Orologio

MECHANICVILLE - Thomas Orologio, 86, long time resident of Ushers Rd Mechanicville, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by side on Sunday April 23,, 2023. He was born in Delanson, NY on September 19, 1936.
Thomas loved spending time in his garden, hunting, ice fishing, playing cards, going to the Racino and watching the NY Yankees play ball. His garden was his pride and joy, and he loved sharing what he grew with others. He was the definition of a hardworking man.
He worked for Rotterdam Septic for 50 years. After retirement he worked for Williams Excavating LLC, driving dump trucks. During his free time, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, and family.
He is predeceased by his parents James and Carmella (Mave) Orologio. His wife Diana Orologio, who he was married to for 60 years. His brothers Domonic, Lincoln, and Tony. Sisters; Phyllis, Diane, Dolly, and Anna.
Thomas is survived by his son Thomas C. Orologio; daughter Denise Orologio (Mike Desmond); his seven grandchildren, Daniel Palmieri, Jessica Thomas (Ian), Nicole Orologio, Jason Palmieri (Shannon), Meagan MacMillan (Paul), Katie Vinik (Adam) and Steven Orologio. Five great grandchildren; Tory, Cameron, Jordyn, Thomas and June. Sisters; Rosalie, Rosemary and Jean. Along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A special thank you to the Community Hospice of Saratoga for all their help in our time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday April 27 from 4-7 at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday April 28 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Stillwater Union Cemetery. A celebration of life after the funeral will be held at the Stillwater American Legion Post 490, 1 American Legion Rd, Stillwater, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Memory of Thomas can be made to The Community Hospice of Saratoga (Walk For Hospice ’23 Team: Snow White Seven O’s).
