Obituary for Kathleen M. Urkevich (Graber)

MALTA - Kathleen M. Urkevich, 69, passed away in the loving company of her family, Easter Sunday, April 9th, after a courageous 6 year battle with Sarcoma.

Born on March 9, 1954, daughter of the late Howard and Clara Belmonte Graber, Kathy was a 1972 graduate of Mechanicville High School and received a B.S. in Mathematics from SUNY Albany. Kathy enjoyed a career in technology with Allied Signal in Green Island and GE Corporate employee benefits in Schenectady. Kathy’s life centered around her family, husband, children and grandchildren. She attended Assumption-St. Paul and Corpus Christi churches.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Joseph Urkevich and children Jolyne (Kevin Prudente) Olah of Winhall, Vermont and David (Danielle) Urkevich of Ballston Lake. Grandchildren - Brielle, Claire, Hannah, David Jr. and Owen. Her brothers Howard (Lori) Graber of Clarksville, Tennessee and Gary (Kristine) Graber of Gansevoort. In addition to her parents, Kathy is predeceased by her son-in-law Aaron Olah.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Apr 14th at 10 AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM.
