Obituary for Janice A Malo (Parker)
JOHNSONVILLE - Janice A. Parker Malo, 73, of Johnsonville Rd, died at Samaritan Hospital on January 29, 2023, from several recent health issues. Born in Troy on December 29, 1949, daughter of the late Daniel and Lurana Corbin Parker, she was the wife of the late Joseph “Smokey” Malo.
Janice was a nurse throughout her career, most recently working for the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, until retiring in 2010. At home, she loved being with her dogs Lily and Smokey.
In addition to her husband Joe and parents Daniel and Lurana, she was also predeceased by her former husband William Peters.
Survivors include her children William(Linda) Peters, Andrew(Donna) Peters, Christopher(April) Peters, Dylan Malo, and Gracyn Malo, grandchildren Nicholas, Tiffany, and Chelsea Peters, Anthony and Charlie Pedersen, Ashlea(Daryl) Scutt, Marissa(Zach) Harrington, Destiny and Justin Peters, 5 great grandchildren, brother in law William "Bill" (Sherry) Malo, and her aunt Catherine O’Dell.
In keeping with Janice’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family, with burial alongside her husband Joe, in Millertown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 in memory of Janice A. Malo
