STILLWATER - Gerone “Roni” O’Connor, 75, of Russell Drive, died Friday January 13, following a brief illness. Born in Troy, March 6, 1947, daughter of the late William and Dorothy Helion fort, Roni was the widow of her husband of 50 years, George O’Connor, who died in 2018, and grandmother of the late Alexander O’Connor who died in 2019.
Roni worked in the yellow pages section of New York Telephone for 35 years mainly in their No. Greenbush office.
Roni and her late husband lived in Florida after retirement for about 20 years, returning north several years ago. She enjoyed working with crafts. She enjoyed visiting her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Karen (Edward) Ryan of Stillwater and George (Abigail) O’Connor of Alaska, along with grandchildren Sean Ryan and Nathan O’Connor. Also her sister Dorothy Cashman of Round Lake, along with niece and nephews.
A Burial service will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery, at 11 AM on Friday, Jan 27th. Those who expect to attend are asked to arrive at the Cemetery entrance at
10:45 AM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, in memory of Gerone “Roni” O’Connor.
