SARATOGA SPRINGS - Philomena Bianchino, 99 years old, passed away peacefully at Glens Falls Hospital on November 20, 2022, after a brief illness. Born in Albany, NY on April 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie Bologna Bianchino.
Philomena worked as a clerk for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance for many years and previously at Saratoga State Park in the Lincoln Baths and also as a clerk for Lerners Shops.
Philomena enjoyed cooking and baking, among other things around her home. She was a lifelong member of the Assumption-St. Paul Parish(All Saints on the Hudson) in Mechanicville.
She was predeceased by her son Daniel Hachigan, as well as brothers Louis and Anthony Bianchino, and her sister Mary Tuccillo.
She is survived by her grandson, Steven, great grandchildren Jordan and Madison, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 28 at 11AM At All Saints on the Hudson Church(St. Paul’s), 121 N Main Street, Mechanicville, NY 12118, with burial to follow St. Paul’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to arrive at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity in Philomena’s memory would be appreciated.
