Obituary for Diane T. Anuszewski (Nason)

HALFMOON - Diane Theresa Anuszewski (Nason), of Vosburgh Road, passed away on December 19, 2022 after a courageous battle from a long-term illness. She passed in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 13, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ to John R. and Theresa Nason, Diane married her high school sweetheart Raymond, and they raised their family in Halfmoon.

Diane graduated from Shenendehowa in 1971 and worked for Price Chopper for many years before retiring to spend more time doing what she loved; quilting and spending time with her dogs and family. She was a longtime member of QUILT North. Diane was honest, loving, dependable, hardworking and devoted to her family and friends. Anyone lucky enough to know Diane likely recognized her as an incredibly special person, loving, kind and selfless. Known to put everyone ahead of herself, she was a source of great support and strength to her family and friends. Always with a positive outlook, she offered help with a smile. Generous of heart and deed, Diane was truly a remarkable person and she will be deeply missed.

She is predeceased by her father John R. Nason and survived by her mother Theresa, her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond Richard Anuszewski, son Michael (Kristen) of Galway and grandchildren Clark and William; son Loren (Kristel) of Winthrop, ME and grandchildren Maguire and Kerrigan; son Brian (Shannon) of Poestenkill and grandson Easton; and daughter Deidre (Josh) VanVranken of Waxhaw, NC and grandchildren Brooke and Drew; brother William Nason and family of NC and sister Lorraine Krochina and family of Stillwater.

Calling hours will be held at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home. 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, on Thursday, December 29, from 4-7PM. A Funeral Home Service will be held Friday, December 30 at 10AM with burial to follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville. Diane has requested those in attendance dress in colors to represent the vibrancy of her life. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to - To Life! 410 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054
