Obituary for Carol A. Desadore (Luther)

MECHANICVILLE - Carol Luther Desadore, 62, of No Crystal St, Hemstreet Park, sadly died Monday, Nov 7th, at Albany Medical Center, after becoming sick this past weekend.
Born in Troy, Sept. 7, 1960, daughter of the late George and Mary Fitzpatrick Luther, she was a 1978 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Carol was a processing clerk for the NYS Dept. of Tax and Finance, for over 30 years. She had also been the Mechanicville Police Dept. Matron for a number of years.
Carol was a maverick, becoming one of the first female members of the Mechanicville Fire Dept.
She enjoyed bowling and summer camping on permanent sites up north for years. She was well known for her delicious Chex Mix recipe gifting her mix to family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sister AnneMarie Richardson and brother Paul N. Luther.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years Steven A. Desadore, her loving daughter Kelsey McCarthy, her adored granddaughter who referred to her as “Mam” 4 year old Evelyn Mae McCarthy, step daughter Stephanie Desadore and her children Alexis Desadore and Zachary Rowe, sisters Nancy (Bruce Steves) Izzo of Malta, Patricia (Jeff) Ramnes and brother-in-law Tom Richardson both of Mechanicville, along with nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling Hours at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Paul N. Luther Memorial Scholarship Fund of Mechanicville High School.
