Obituary for Charles Anthony Villano

MECHANICVILLE - Charles Anthony Villano, 62, of Viall Ave, died peacefully in the comfort of his home, on October 11, 2022, with his loving family at his side. Born in Columbus, MS on April 10, 1960, son of Patsy Villano of Schenectady and the late Nancy Lamkins Villano, he was a 1980 graduate of Stillwater High School.
Charles had worked for the past 20 years as a welder and fabricator for AGM Glass, Clifton Park, until illness forced him to retire. At home, he enjoyed tinkering around the house and in his garage, where he could come up with a solution to fix nearly anything. He was a talented woodworker who was self taught in all of his skill. He loved western movies, especially any John Wayne flick. He also adored his Newfoundland canine friends Sophie and Bella.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Rosemary D’Aloia Villano, whom he married June 11, 1988, daughter and son in law Valerie(Ara Yessayan) Villano of Walpole, MA, son and daughter in law Dylan(Teresa) Villano of Halfmoon, grandchildren Jack and Amory Yessayan and Sofia Villano, siblings Paul(Patty) Villano, Eva(Joe) Mueller, and Pam Villano and several nieces and nephews.
Rosemary, Val, and Dylan, are forever grateful for the support of their family. Charles’ siblings, Rosie’s mom Mary and sisters Beth, Meg, and Patti, were all there to help through the most difficult times.
The Villano family also wishes to extend special thanks to the St. Peter’s ALS team, including Terre and Susie, Community Hospice of Saratoga, including Anna and Angel, many friends, especially Rob and Sandy for always keeping Charles busy and giving him projects to keep him active, and Verdon for his daily visits and check ins, and also the Rinaldi/Pickett family for years of neighborly friendship and support.
Calling hours will be held at All Saints on the Hudson Church(St. Paul’s), 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, on Friday Oct 14th from 4 - 6PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow starting at 6PM.
