Obituary for Ann C. Russo (Marocco)

MECHANICVILLE - Ann Christine (Marocco) Russo passed away with her loving family by her side, on June 29th, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on May 12th, 1941 to Arthur and Katherine Marocco, Ann was a 1958 graduate of Catholic Central High School and a 1959 graduate of Mildred Elley Business School. Ann married the love of her life, Salvadore Russo, on October 15th, 1960.

A devout Catholic, Ann’s faith was unwavering. She was a lifelong parishioner of All Saints on the Hudson Roman Catholic Church, in Mechanicville. Ann was an honorary member of Mechanicville’s class of 1958, attending all social gatherings and reunions. Many of her closest lifelong friends were from Mechanicville. Ann’s greatest joy was when her children and grandchildren were all together. It was pure chaos, but she loved every minute of it. Some of Ann’s best memories were being around the people she loved the most. Ann had a generous heart and welcomed everyone in her home with open arms. She loved hosting family and friends for epic parties in the garage; cooking incredible quantities of food for all who came. With all the hustle and bustle of life and raising a big family, Ann always looked forward to quiet dinner and movie nights with Sal. She was the epitome of grace and beauty.

Ann was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Salvadore Russo; beloved son, Stephen; sister, Kathleen DeVito; brothers-in-law, Peter Russo, Dominick Russo, Joseph (Slo) Izzo and John Devito; and sisters-in-law, Helene Russo, Catherine Izzo and Dolores Fiacco.
Ann is survived by her children - Vincent Russo, Patricia (Lonnie) Middleton, Lisa Russo, Christopher (Kellie) Russo, Paul Russo and Karen Russo and cherished grandchildren - Tatianna, Brianna, Emily, Alexandra, Colton, Nicholas, Benjamin, Mia, Noah, Jack and Anthony. She also leaves behind her sister, Karen (Dukie) Cavotta; brother, Arthur (Nancy) Marocco; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Russo and brother-in-law, Joseph Fiacco, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christion Burial will held on Friday, July 1st at 12:30 PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Paul’s), 121 No. Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow at Saratoga National Cemetery. Visitation with Ann’s family will be Friday from 10AM-12 Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., 1 Marcus Blvd, Suite 203, Albany, 12205, in loving memory of Ann C. Russo.
