Obituary for Scott M. Pritchard
SARATOGA SPRINGS - Scott M. Pritchard, 53, died suddenly in the comfort of his home on May 25, 2022 after a several year battle with Crohn’s Disease. Born in Troy on June 25, 1968, he was the son of Suzanne DeMers Christie, of Saratoga Springs, and John Pritchard.
Scott was a talented chef for several area restaurants throughout his career, most recently Taverna Novo in Saratoga Springs, prior to falling ill. He was also an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed kayaking, fishing and hiking. At home, he was an avid reader and also became an extremely popular streamer on Twitch, for his online gaming abilities, such as Call of Duty and Titan Fall. Most of all, he loved his family and was a good and faithful father, son, brother and uncle.
Scott was survived by his loving mother Suzanne, son Gavin Pritchard(Alisha Stocklas) of Troy, brother Randy Pritchard, niece Emily Rhodes, sister in law Barbara Weidman, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A private burial service for his family was held at Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville, where he was laid to rest alongside his brother John Pritchard, who died in 2014.
