HALFMOON - Dorothy M. Stephenson, 91, of Mechanicville, entered into eternal life on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Piotr J. Witko and Janina A. Czaja. A 1954 graduate of Austin's School of Beauty Culture in Albany, NY, she owned and operated a beauty salon for much of her life. She loved her family, friends, and classic TV shows. Dorothy is survived by her grandsons, Edward W. (Maggie) Stephenson and Justin M. Stephenson (Latasha Thompson), and great-grandchildren, Harlan and Autumn Stephenson. She was predeceased by her husband Edward R. Stephenson, son Edward P. Stephenson, and siblings Barbara, Claire, and Victor Witko. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday June 3rd at 11AM at All Saints on the Hudson(St. Paul's Church), 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30AM. Interment will be held immediately following at Saratoga National Cemetery.
