Obituary for Kathy A. Fountaine
STILLWATER - Kathy A. Fountaine, 69, of Flike Road, died at Saratoga Hospital, after being stricken at home. Born in Troy, May 7, 1952, daughter of the late Warwick and Florence Kelly Wood. She was a 1971 graduate of Mechanicville high School.
A homemaker, who relished the time spent mothering her children, loving and tending to her beloved grandchildren, she enjoyed the pleasure of dining out with her husband and family over the years. She always had fun at family and sibling gatherings. Picnicking, and swimming were summer fun times.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, George J. Fountaine, whom she married May 18, 1974, her three children: Cassandra Smith of Stillwater, Chad Fountaine of Gansevoort, Chawnna (Jacob) Hughes of Schuylerville, cherished grandchildren: Breanna and Jacob Smith, Sierra, Chase and Mason Fountaine and Kendyl Hughes. Siblings Connie Dearstyne of Cohoes and Bob and Kathy Wood of Stillwater, along with nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, predeceased by her sister Carolyn DeMarco and grandchildren Austin and Carissa Fountaine.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 4 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St, Mechanicville. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 2-4 PM at Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to either the American Heart Assoc. of the National Kidney Foundation in loving memory of Kathy A, Fountaine.
