Obituary for Richard M. Manning Jr.
MECHANICVILLE - Richard “Rick” Michael Manning, Jr. 31, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was predeceased by his father Richard M. Manning, Sr., grandparents Dolores “Nene” and Jack “Pop” Higgins, and his grandmother Gail “Mom-mom” Raul.
Rick enjoyed hiking with his dogs Lucy, Ruca and Candy, riding his motorcycle, traveling, and making memories with family and friends. He enjoyed supporting the underground music scene where he met many beloved friends and played bass guitar with Wrong Move. He enjoyed investing, working on his vehicles and home, and was the co-owner of Ever Seal Paving. He was an environmentalist and concerned with making this world a better place, by advocating for composting and zero-waste.
Rick is survived by his mother, Patricia Higgins; sister Emily Manning; love of his life, Brittany Smith; brother, Scott Braman; Aunt Kathy and Uncle Jamie Saunders; Uncle Kevin Higgins and Aunt Fiona Farrell; Aunt Beth and Uncle Sandy Straight; Uncle T.R. Manning; Cousins Matthew and Michael Straight; Cousin Jason McCain; Goddaughter Makenzie Elizabeth McCain and many beloved friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12 PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N. Main Street, Mechanicville, with visitation from 10:30 AM until Mass time.
In lieu of flowers, the family sugggests contributions to the William Yager Memorial Foundation.
