Obituary for Rose Mary Mullen

MECHANICVILLE - Rose M. Mullen, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2022. Born in Michigan City, IN she is the daughter of Amy O'Sullivan and Robert(Melissa) Mullen, both of Mechanicville.
Rose was a Junior at Mechanicville High School. She was very socially conscious and passionate about looking for ways to better the world. A smart, beautiful, funny, and genuinely caring person, she also loved animals. She enjoyed arts, reading, and musical theater. A skilled crocheter, she was also very fashion savvy and often designed and made her own clothing. She was also involved in the school's Art and Drama Clubs.
Survivors in addition to her parents Amy and Rob include her brothers Samuel and Robert "RJ" Mullen, maternal grandfather Daniel O'Sullivan, paternal grandmother Valerie Mullen, uncles Nicholas Mullen, Daniel and Matthew O'Sullivan, aunts Margaret and Kathryn O'Sullivan, great grandmother Wilma Musselman, great grandmother Florence O'Sullivan and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and their families.
Rose was predeceased by her infant brother John Mullen, and grandparents Kathleen Beiner and Robert Mullen.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St, Mechanicville. A time of remembrance for those wishing to share will begin at 7PM. Masks must be worn during all services for those in attendance. “In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region, Human Rights Campaign Foundation, or Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society. “
