OBITUARY
Margaret Struneski, 80, a lifelong resident of Mechanicville, died Tuesday, Dec. 28th at Schuyler Ridge, Clifton Park, after an extended illness. Born in Troy July 3, 1941, daughter of the late Michael and Helen Struneski, Margaret grew up on Frances Street and moved to Kennedy Gardens in the early 1980’s and then to the Mechanicville Midrise apartments. She was a 1959 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Margaret was a clerk at the former Golden’s Drug Store for many years.
She enjoyed weekly bingo games and her trips to the Saratoga Racino.
Survivors include her sister Rosemary Moore and husband John, two nieces, Amy O’Connell, of Great Falls, Montana and Kathleen Spencer of Northville, NY and their children.
There will be no calling hours and burial will be private, with interment of her ashes with her mother in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to the Mechanicville Community Center.
