Obituary for Carmen H. Bagnoli

MECHANICVILLE - Carmen H. "Bags" Bagnoli, 78, longtime resident of Mechanicville/Hemstreet Park, died peacefully at Tidewell Hospice House in Lakewood Ranch, FL, on November 23, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Troy, NY on December 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Carmen and Mary Bagnoli and husband of 54 years to the late Lucille DiSiena Bagnoli.
Carmen graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1960. After high school, he had a long career with the State of New York and CSEA where he served as Local and Regional President; he concluded his career as the Director of the CSEA Employee Benefit Fund. Carmen served his community as a School Board Member and then President of the Mechanicville School Board of Education from 1975-1990, Chairman of the Mechanicville Housing Authority (1981) and Mechanicville Zoning Board (1980). In his spare time, he enjoyed trips to the casino and golfing with friends and family. After retirement, Carmen split his time living between Mechanicville and Florida, in 2018 he and Lucille moved to Parrish, Florida full time to be closer to their daughter MaryAnn and son-in-law Mark.
Survivors include his daughter MaryAnn (Mark) Hanson, siblings Henry "Hank" Bagnoli and Janice Branam, his furry loved ones - Buddy, Emmie and Charlotte, many loving members of his wife's family, and several nieces and nephews, and their families.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 11th from 9:30-11:30AM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. A funeral mass will follow starting at NOON at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with entombment to follow in St. Paul's Mausoleum.
