Obituary for Marjorie E. Krause (Brown)
MECHANICVILLE - Marjorie E. Krause, 98, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 13, 2021. Born in Watervliet on March 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Haswell Brown and wife of the late Clarence J. Krause.
Marjorie worked as a clerk at the J.M. Fields Department Store in Troy for many years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing as well. A faithful member of the Stillwater United Church she was very active in the church and all its activities, especially the food pantry and the dinners it held.
Marjorie's family consists of her son Tierney(deceased) and his wife Carol, son Jonathan(Mary Lou) Krause, daughter Betsey Therrien and her husband Greg(deceased), grandchildren Becky, Brad, Brian, Stephanie and Cory, her late sisters Lois Harrman and Jean Barrett, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, Nov 22nd at Stillwater United Church, 747 Hudson Ave, Stillwater, NY 12170. Burial in Memory Gardens will follow.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Stillwater United Church.
