Obituary for John J. Zullo Jr.

STILLWATER - John Zullo, Jr passed on October 21, 2021. Born on April 12, 1948 to John and Etta (Bartholomew) Zullo. He grew up with his two siblings, Mary Zullo Zelezniak (Pete) and the late Paul Zullo as well as a huge extended family in Mechanicville, NY and surrounding area. John graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1966 and went on to spend 5 years in training to become a UC&M, and then was employed at NYSEG as a line man.
John and the love of his life, Linda Bailey Zullo met in 1968 at the Super 50 Drive-In, and began their life together. On December 7, 1974, this union produced their very own personal Rockstar and entrepreneur, Kelly Lynn Zullo of who John never stopped boasting about! Their beautiful marriage celebrated 52 years upon his passing.
John, being extremely hard working and driven along with his equally determined partner in life, began investing in rental properties with great success. After retiring, John and Linda followed several aunts and uncles to beautiful Naples Florida where they recently planned to relocate permanently. He quickly became a popular member of his SWFL community due to his good looks, charm, and incredible sense of humor and honest willingness to help anyone, anytime with anything.
John is survived by his loving wife and life partner Linda, his pride and joy daughter Kelly (Kelly McClosky) as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and multiple cousins who are proud to call him their “favorite cousin named John”.
If you are fortunate enough to get to where John Zullo, Jr. now surely resides, listen for the sound of his genuine, contagious, amazing laugh. You will find him at the poker table with a pocket full of scratch off tickets!
John will forever be remembered for his love of family, kind heart and generosity. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him and all whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life will be held in May and the date, time and place will be announced at that time.
