Obituary for Peter A. Valdeon Jr.
STILLWATER - Peter A. Valdeon Jr, 65, of Valdeon Dr, passed away on October 9, 2021 in the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his side. Born in Troy on September 29, 1956, son of the late Peter and Doris Lawyer Valdeon, he was a 1974 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
A hard worker all his life, Peter started with odd jobs in his youth to make some extra money and as he got older, started working with his father painting and doing electrical work. Paper routes, lawn mowing and shoveling all paved a career that eventually led to working at multiple paper mills and eventually Polyset, his last job before becoming ill. He and wife Denise even ran their own promotional printing business, D&P Pad Printing, for nearly 20 years.
Pete enjoyed the outdoors, either sharing motorcycle rides with Denise, camping with family, sitting around the fire, or just lounging at the pool. He also enjoyed pub games like darts, bocce, billiards and rollerskating. Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Salvi Valdeon, whom Pete would tell friends, "she rollerskated into my life". They were married on September 29, 1979 and just recently shared their 42nd Anniversary together. Also his son and his wife, Peter and Megan Valdeon III, daughter Jessica Valdeon, granddaughters Grace and Emma, siblings Debbie(Allan) Simmons, Diana(John) Neeley, and Paul Valdeon and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his nephew Reuben Messian.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 15th from 5-7PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118.
