Obituary for Carmella Taglione (Anatriello)

MECHANICVILLE - Carmella Taglione, 91, lifelong resident of Mechanicville, died peacefully on August 31, 2021 at Wesley Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Lena Anatriello.
A graduate of Mechanicville High School Carm was active in a number of organizations . She served as treasurer for the Little League for many years and was also a member of the Sons of Italy Women's Auxiliary. She was active in church activities and was a devout catholic saying her prayers every morning along with her rosary and attending mass regularly. She worked for Clements Motor Sales for many years in car financing and several other car dealerships . Carmella and her husband Tony were avid campers and absolutely loved to be in their camper, mostly every weekend, enjoying the outdoors.
Deer Run Campground was their home base but the Battleground Campground in Lake George was also a favorite spot. Nothing was more important to Carmella then family. Having 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, she attended countless academic and athletic events they participated in . She was so proud of all of them and never forgot one birthday.

Carmella was predeceased by her husband Anthony Taglione, son Carmine Taglione, 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
Survivors include her son John(Joy) Taglione, daughter-in-law Sharon Taglione, grandchildren Lisa(Joe), Casey(Matt), Toni(Tom), Jill(Mafalda), Carm(Jillian), Michael(Gretta), Heath, Kari and Kelly(Kim), 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home on Friday, Sept 3rd from 10:00 - 11:30AM. Burial will be 12:30pm at the Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to JDRF(Juvenile Diabetes), 200 Vesey Street, 28th Floor, New York, NY 10281 in loving memory of Carmella Taglione.
