Obituary for Shirley A. Bagnoli (Fox)

Mechanicville - Shirley Fox Bagnoli, 85, died Thursday, July 22nd at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Ctr, Troy, after an extended illness.
Born in Mechanicville, January 18, 1936, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Fox, Shirley attended St. Paul's Parochial School and was a 1953 graduate of Mechanicville High School. For many years Shirley worked as a senior administrator with the General Electric Co. in Schenectady, retiring in 1996.
Shirley enjoyed shopping, always ready to buy something for her many nieces and nephews, working in her gardens, was a member of the Red Hats Society, and her Home Owners Assn of Grooms Point.
Although never having children of her own, Shirley looked after, mentored, and was always ready to help out her many nieces and nephews, and loved their company. She also loved her pet dachshunds dogs, namely Heidi and Gretchen.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Bagnoli in 1994, and her many siblings: Yvonne, Agnes, Charles, Richard, Thomas, Robert, Jerry, James, Laverne and Virginia.
Survivors include her sister-in-law Dione Fox of Mechanicville and brother-in-law Thomas Bagnoli of California, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 12:30 PM at All Saint on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Calling hours at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday morning from 11 AM till Noon.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. of NENY, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, 12205, in respectful memory of Shirley Fox Bagnoli.
