Obituary for Donna Lee Zygmon (Fitch)
ALBANY - Donna L. Zygmon, 70, former resident of Mechanicville/Hemstreet Park, died peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on July 10, 2021 after a brief illness. Born in Troy on April 23, 1951, daughter of the late Oliver "Ollie" and Barbara Rivenburgh Fitch, she was a 1969 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Donna worked as a secretary for several local companies, most recently for Hudson Valley Auto Appraisers of Albany, where she spent over 20 years. Donna enjoyed time spent with family at gatherings and family camping trips.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, David T. Zygmon, whom she married on September 22, 1972, her sister in law Donna Zygmon, aunt Ada Rivenburgh and uncle Ralph Tabor, as well as several cousins and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her parents in law, Stanley and Gloria Zygmon, and sister in law Nancy Zygmon.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to either the American Heart Assoc, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in loving memory of Donna L. Zygmon.
