MECHANICVILLE -Sharon Thrane Gaspie, 67 of Bennington Ave., died suddenly Wed May 26th at Albany Medical Center, after suffering a major cerebral stroke at home on Friday, May 21st.
Born in Lancaster, California May 10, 1954, daughter of Nira Rice Thrane and the late Leland Thrane, Sharon was a 1972 graduate of Mechanicville High School. A former hair dresser, Sharon had worked for the former King Fuels, but taking care of her family and home, were special to her.
A longtime elections inspector for the City of Mechanicville and the Mechanicville City School District, Sharon and family enjoyed their many trips to Cape Cod. Especially bench sitting and people watching in Provincetown. She also enjoyed jig-saw puzzles, bingo, crocheting, and other games of chance.
A fun loving and caring person, Sharon enjoyed gathering about her kitchen, patio or anywhere with her family and friends.
