MECHANICVILLE - Sangchun "Dolly" Paro, 71, of Hemstreet Park, died on May 21, 2021 at Albany Medical Center, following a brief illness. Born in Thailand on March 13, 1950, Dolly came to the United States in 1974 after meeting her future husband, Daniel Paro, who was stationed there during the Vietnam War. She became a United States citizen in 1997.

Dolly worked for Cascades Tissue Group(formerly Tagson's Paper and American Tissue)as a machine operator for many years. She was a dedicated employee and hard worker who retired in March 2020.
At home, she was the best mother and grandmother to not only her family but the neighborhood kids too. A great cook, she always made sure there was enough food to feed everybody. She cherished her grandkids, singing and dancing throughout the house, and loved playing poker with friends.
Survivors include her children, Michael Paro(Cheryl Brown) and Christina Paro(Robert Morales), both of Mechanicville, Jeffrey(Denile) Paro of Valley Falls, grandchildren Michael Paro, Tiler Roehr, John McLaughlin V, Halie McLaughlin, Jacob Paro, Gavyn Neet, and Ariyana Brehm.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
