Carol, Rex, and Sean,
Just found out about this, and my deepest condolences I extend to you.
I guess I haven't talked to John in quite awhile, because I had no idea he was sick. Time certainly flies.
I knew John from state softball leagues, state fantasy football leagues, and I helped him (in a tiny way) with his amazing special olympics work. He will indeed be missed.
I hope he didn't suffer too much, but we know it's all behind him now.
Amen!!! Godspeed, John!!!

John was such a kind, welcoming, inclusive person. He was so invested in others, getting to know them and sharing in their ups and downs. His positive attitude and kindness was infectious. You just couldn't help feeling good just being in his company. He will be greatly missed by so many people.

I haven't seen John in over 25 yrs. We played softball together with a special group of people. I learned much about life from John even tho he was 10 yrs. my junior. I especially remember the story behind his green station wagon he drove that had been his parents car. Very sad. Bob Crounse

I frequently saw John, his parents and son at the 4PM Saturday Mass at St. Mary's Church in Albany. His deep faith was so evident to all who were near. I will pray for him, his son and parents. Roseann
