Obituary for David L. Rose

HALFMOON - David L. Rose, 41, longtime resident of the Mechanicville/Stillwater community, passed away on May 4, 2021 at Samaritan Hospital, in the company of his loving family. Born in Troy on July 13, 1979, son of Donna Rose of Melrose and the late Michael Rose, he was a 1997 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Dave had most recently worked for the Heavy Highway Equipment division of the Laborers Local Union 190, having worked there for nearly 4 years and has worked in the construction business for most of his working life.
Dave lived his life to the fullest. He worked hard, never afraid to get his hands dirty but once off the job, enjoyed the fun times he had with family and friends. A great conversationalist, he enjoyed a good party where his laughter often filled the room. He loved golf and working in the garden around the house. He was a diehard Green Bay Packer and Aaron Rodgers fan. Competitive in nature, playing pool, darts, or poker were some of his favorite games.
Sadly, Dave was predeceased by his father Michael Rose, brothers Douglas and Daniel Rose, and several other friends and family dear to him.
Survivors in addition to his mother Donna include his fiancé Samantha M. Morris and her son Dylan, who he was scheduled to marry this coming fall, two sons, Cameron and Dominick Rose, nephew Devin Price, cousins Regan, Danny, Matt and Amber, several aunts and uncles, and countless friends he has made along the way.
Calling hours on Monday, May 10th from 12:30 - 2PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. A private funeral home service and burial will be held for his family.
