Obituary for Brian L. Byrne
LATHAM - Brian Byrne, 43, left us suddenly on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. The amount of lives he touched while he was on this earth is immeasurable.
Brian attended Shenendahowa High School, where he was known to be carefree and fun. He was a good friend and ready with humor to lighten up any situation. Always up for an adventure, he travelled the country following his favorite band, Phish.
Brian worked in the IT field and found a home at TechBridge in Albany, NY about 10 years ago, where he worked until his passing. This was truly a second family to him.
On June 24, 2018 Brian married, and he and his wife were building a life based on so much love. They had three dogs: 2chains, Larry and Herbie. They had so much love in their little family, they wanted to share it with a baby. In November 2019 they had their amazing daughter, Cecelia Marie.
Brian had a huge impact on the recovery community. Even if he never met you, he would jump into action when someone was struggling with addiction. Brian used his struggles to give hope and life to thousands; he had an amazing gift to inspire and connect with others. When Brian learned about a recovery fellowship on the west coast, he made it his life’s goal to spread and grow that program. Without his aid, many people wouldn’t have had a chance to find sobriety. From meeting rooms across the country Brian’s loving enthusiasm will be remembered and his tireless service will leave a lasting legacy.
Brian loved his friends and family deeply. He was a California boy at heart, and had an insane passion - which he called an obsession - for the Miami Dolphins. He was sure to turn Cecelia into a fan from birth, and was looking forward to the day he could bring her to watch her first Dolphins game.
It was a gift to know Brian and be in his life. Brian is survived by….. his wife, Brooke; his daughter, Cecelia; his three dogs; his mother, Lynn; father, Laurence; sisters, Beth Radlo; Laurie Adams(Eric); Jennefer Przezdziecki(Michael); Bridget Brower(Daniel); and his 5 nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID restrictions, calling hours and service will be limited to family and close friends. Brian’s ashes will be buried at Memory Gardens Cemetery & Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation in Glenville, NY.
