Obituary for Michael Gallas
PITTSTOWN, NY - Michael Gallas, 56, of Route 7, died unexpectedly Friday, March 19th at his home, from cardiac complications.
Born in Hartford, Ct., October 30, 1964, he was son of the late Stephen and Georgia Gallas and brother of the late sister Gloria Gallas.
A very skilled carpenter, Mike was responsible for the maintenance and repair of his family's properties for many years. Working by himself most of the time, Mike accomplished many great things.
An avid reader, Mike enjoyed the subjects of history and politics, was well versed in many subjects and was always ready to have discussions and give his viewpoint on any matter. Always tended to canines over the years, he was a dogs best friend.
Survivors include his brother Robert (Irene Siriotis) Gallas of Glastonbury, Ct, nieces and nephews Kayla Gallas, Matthew and Mitchell Almond, also many aunts/uncles and cousins in Ct. and Florida.
No local services will be held. Burial in a family lot in St. Peter-St. Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Methuen, Mass is scheduled for 1030 AM, this Saturday.
