MECHANICVILLE - Carmella D. Bucci, 95, of N Main St, died peacefully on March 8, 2021 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness, with her loving family at her side. Born in Mechanicville on February 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Leone and Maria Vaccara Gagliardi.
Carm was a full time mother and grandmother, who over the years entertained, fed, and cared for many friends and family at her kitchen table. She was a skilled cook and baker who never turned away the company of her visitors.
Over the years, she assisted with her children's businesses, as any loving mother would.
Sadly, she was predeceased by her husband of nearly 40 years, Eugene M. Bucci in 1988, son in law Michael Waldron and granddaughter in law Karen Micklas and siblings Sebastian "Busty" Gagliardi, Andrew "Reddy Fox", Angelo and Jimmy Gagliardi, Philomena Kurjiaka, Sylvia "Ceil" Caputo and infant sister Philomena Gagliardi.
Survivors include her daughter Joy(John) Taglione of Schaghticoke, son Michael(Denise) Bucci of Mechanicville, grandchildren Michael(Gretta) and Heath Taglione, Kari Taglione Daley, Michael and Ashley Bucci, great grandchildren Sophia, Mia, Natalia and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
During this extremely difficult time, please visit to share condolences, photos and memories of Carm you may have, with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabeties(JDRF), 950 Loudon Rd #330, Latham, NY 12110 in loving memory of Carmella D. Bucci.

Joy, Michael and family, I am saddened to hear of your mother's death. I have many fond memories of her during my childhood, and especially remember her kindness and how you always felt welcome in her presence. Her house always smelled so good, whether it was her cooking or your Father's cigar! My prayer will be that God will give her repose and all of you comfort. In respect, Hayden J. Vredenburg

Dear Joy, Mike, & Family~ My heart is so heavy for you all, and I am sending my deepest sympathies during the loss of your beloved mother. Losing the matriarch of our families is one of life's darkest times. I remember Carm as one of our Town's finest women, always energetic, walking around the neighborhood, smiling. It's always sad for me to lose a friend from my parents' generation. What a blessing to have had her for 95 years!! I'm sure the pearly gates opened wide for her. Love, Gina (Siciliano) Martin

Joy ,Mike and the entire family, I am so sorry for your loss.It has been a long time since I’ve seen your Mom ,but she stands out as one of the kindest and most generous person I’ve ever met. I used to love sitting at her kitchen table talking and watching her make pasta.I know you both were very close to your Mother- she will be missed by all. Praying for you all.

I was so sorry to hear about Carm's passing. I always enjoyed visiting with her when we ran into each other at Racino, at the flea markets that Joy participated in or at my Aunt Mary Manso's, house when they finally met for lunch. I also remember buying World Book encyclopedias from Gene so many years ago. So sorry for you loss. Sue Rinaldi Herlands
