STILLWATER - Donna L. Duffney, 77, of Brickhouse Rd, died Saturday, Feb 20th, at Saratoga Hospital, after being stricken at home. Donna suffered mobility and health difficulties for a number of years, and was lovingly and patiently watched over and cared for by her husband and son.
Born in Mechanicville, July 12, 1943, daughter of the late James and Evelyn Palmer, she was a 1961 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Donna worked for many years as a waitress at the Sheraton Hotel in Saratoga Springs and the former Scot-Mar Restaurant in Waterford.
In earlier days, Donna enjoyed dancing, visiting with her family and friends. Last number of years, she worked on crossword puzzles, favorite television programs, and just enjoyed the comforts of her home.
She was a member of All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Peter's).
In addition to her parents, Donna was sadly predeceased by her son James Duffney, daughter Darlene Canary and grandson Daniel Canary and brother James Palmer, along with in-laws.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Miles F. Duffney, whom she married Sept 28, 1962, along with her son Michael J. Duffney, nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be no immediate services.
Family and friends will be invited to a burial service at Greenfield Cemetery in May.
Remembrances may be made to St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn in loving memory of Donna Palmer Duffney.
