Obituary for Lolita M. DelPrete

MECHANICVILLE - Lolita M. DelPrete, 69, of Underwood Avenue, died peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on February 8, 2021 following a brief illness. Born in Troy on March 12, 1951, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Kenyon Alvarez, she was a 1969 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Lolita, when not at home raising her children, worked asa cashier at various local businesses throughout the years including King Fuels in Mechanicville, for several years.
She enjoyed staying home with her family where she cherished their company as well as the company of her animals. Most recently, she became fond of playing games on her phone. She was also a huge NY Yankee and NY Giants fan.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony "Tony" DelPrete in 2012 as well as siblings Sherry DeVito and Anita DeFelice.
Survivors include her children Michelle DelPrete and Anthony "AJ" DelPrete(Christine Berben), both of Mechanicville, grandchildren Brandon Ford, Kyle Beagle, Anthony and Jordan DelPrete, her brother Thomas(Palma) Alvarez and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours on Sunday from 1-3PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with a funeral home service to follow. Masks are required for entry and social distancing procedures will be in place. Burial will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Monday at 9:30AM. Those wishing to attend are asked to be at the cemetery visitor's center at 9:15AM.
Those wishing to remember Lolita in a special way are asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Rd, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
