Obituary for Barbara F. Ciulla

MECHANICVILLE - Barbara F. Ciulla, 87, of West St, Riverside, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Wesley Health Care Center after a short illness. Born in Waterford on December 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Olga Golden Nash and wife of 44 years to the late Isaac "Ike" Ciulla who died in 1996.
A homemaker most of her life, Barb worked as a seamstress for the former Standard Manufacturing in her younger years. She was a longtime member and former 4 year president of the Henry F. Lefko American Legion Post 1644 Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed being in her kitchen cooking and baking, especially around the holidays. More than anything, Barb enjoyed the company of her family and was a treasured role model for her 3 grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ike, she was predeceased by her siblings John Nash, Donna Agan, Honore Kern and Dorothy Poirier.
Survivors include her daughters and husbands, Debra and Keith Micklas of Mechanicville, Patricia and Mark DeCota of Stillwater, cherished grandchildren Erin Micklas, Ryan and Clare DeCota, her sister JoAnn(Tom) Carabis, dear friend Marion McGowan, and several nieces and nephews. Barb's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Gabby at the Wesley Community for her kind and compassionate assistance with the virtual visits between Barb and her family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial alongside her husband in Hudson View Cemetery. During this extremely difficult time, we strongly encourage friends and family to visit devito-salvadorefh.com to share condolences, photos you may have and memories of Barbara you have, with her family.
