Obituary for Lawrence M. Goudreau Sr.

SCHUYLERVILLE - Lawrence M. Goudreau, 75, of Wilbur Rd, died on December 21, 2020 at Stratton VA Medical Center, after a brief illness. Born in Troy on September 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Earl and Madeline Goudreau.
Larry joined the US Army in 1962 and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1965.
Most recently, Larry worked as a concrete truck driver for Cranesville Block Co. for the past 15 years. He was employed there through the Teamsters Local #294 of of Albany.
Larry was a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing cards and was a huge trivia buff. A big man with a gentle heart, he was a kind person who loved the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Rokjer Goudreau, whom he married December 9, 1967, his children Darcie(Jon) Cavotta of Schuylerville, Dawn(Jamie) Herrick of Stillwater and Lawrence Goudreau, Jr(Gina Cirvelli) of Stillwater, grandchildren Jessica(Kenny) Roberts, Brendon Lesson, Shelby Goudreau, Mackenzie Lesson, Tyhlar and Kadynce Goudreau and their mother Erika Goudreau, great grandchildren Addison and Karter Roberts as well as siblings Earl(Diane) Goudreau and Sue Lovullo and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Barbara Wampole.
Current services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Military honors and inurnment to follow will be held at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Due to the nature of the private services, please send condolences to Barbara and family at 278 Wilbur Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
