MECHANICVILLE - John B. Lindemann, 76, of No. Main St, died Friday, Dec 11th at Samaritan Hospital, after several medical complications.
Born in Albany, June 20, 1944, son of the late Frederick and Evelyn Boyd Lindemann, John was a graduate of Mechanicville High School, where he starred as a hard nosed Red Raider football lineman.
John worked in the food equipment business for most of his working career, lastly with Globe Food Equipment services in Albany.
Over the years, John enjoyed playing golf, sailing and boating on the Sacandaga Res, and snowmobiling. He had a love of sports cars, and was a NY Giants football fan.
Survivors include his daughter Amy (John) Herrick of Clifton Park, 3 grandchildren, his brother George (Rose Ann) Lindemann of Mechanicville, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, predeceased by his sister Evelyn Margaret "Marge" Ishkanian, and brothers Frederick F. and William H. Lindemann.
A private burial service will be held in the spring at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
Remembrances may be made to a charity of choice in respectful memory of John Boyd Lindemann.
