Obituary for Brian P. Bracken
MECHANICVILLE - Brian P. Bracken came into this world on March 16th, 1958 at Leonard Hospital in Lansingburgh, NY and left us suddenly on June 6th, 2020.
There is truly not enough room to accurately describe his time on Earth. He was a loving father, devoted husband and trusted son. In 1986, he wed his loving wife, Paula C. Bull, whom he traveled through life until the very end. There was no Brian without Paula. An avid motorcyclist, his greatest joy in life was riding his Harley with his chapter of the Patriot Guard. He wore his Patriotism like a badge of honor. Having just retired from 20 years with the NYS Department of Transportation, he was looking forward to getting back to fishing, tending to his beloved garden and just wanting to keep on keeping on.
He is survived by his loving mother Gertrude E. Bracken and predeceased by his father Bartley R. Bracken. Also, his children, Brandy M. LaFaver (David), Mindy M. Morse, Shayne J. Bracken, Robin N. Floud (Jamie), Matthew R. Bracken (Rachel), Rebecca Wiley (Shawn) and 16 grandchildren whom he adored. Brian was a man who would do anything for anyone, loved with his whole heart and will be terribly missed every day. He will always be remembered for his terrible jokes and infectious laugh.
