PRATTSVILLE - Lawrence "Larry/Luke" Lucarelli, 56, former resident of Mechanicville, died peacefully on March 11, 2020 at Robinson Terrace, Stamford, NY, after a short illness. Born in Troy, NY on July 27, 1963, son of Lawrence and Edith Cary Lucarelli, Jr, Larry attended the Mechanicville School system.
Larry was a heavy equipment mechanic for many years. He also recently worked for Country Club Golf Course in Tannersville, NY on the maintenance team.
Larry spent the last 11 years with his loving and devoted companion Makeyia. The two of them embraced their own heritages together, his Italian and hers Cherokee. He would often embrace their Italian Cherokee life together. Larry also enjoyed the company of his loving puppy Kasey, a Beagle Boxer mix dog.
Survivors in addition to his best friend and love Makeyia Proffitt, include his children Patricia Parker, David, Stephen, Brody and Ashley Lucarelli, his grandchildren: DJ Acheson, Cody and Hunter Parker, Aden Lucarelli, Zoey Giampino and Haylee Lucarelli, siblings Philip(Colleen) Lucarelli, Sandra(Joseph) McBride and Susan(Tony) Papandrea, and Michael(Kelly) Lucarelli; Makeyia's children William Proffitt and Tiffany(Thomas) Angle as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial at the convenience of the family with inurnment to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul's Cemetery, 52 William Street, Mechanicville, NY 12118 in memory of Lawrence J. Lucarelli.
