Obituary for Teresa M. Herrington (LaMorticello)
MECHANICVILLE - Teresa Marie Herrington, 59, of Timothy Way, died peacefully in the comfort of her home, with her faithful husband and daughter at her side. Born in Troy on Christmas day, 1959, daughter of the late Peter and Tena LaMorticello, she grew up in Watervliet.
A 1978 graduate of Shaker High School, Teresa worked as a data coordinator for Crawford & Company, Clifton Park and had also worked for a short time as a receptionist for CellularOne. Teresa worked until 1996 when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She fought for over 20 years with the help and care of family and friends.
Teresa enjoyed garage sale-ing with her mother and sister, was a skilled crafter and also enjoyed watching TV, especially classics I Love Lucy and the Golden Girls.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, James F. Herrington, whom she married on October 19, 1991, her cherished daughter Alexis Herrington(Tyler Rubino), brother Peter Wells and sister Cindy Roberts, both of Canajoharie, her faithful best friend Gail Ridell and in laws Steven(Shirley) Herrington and Marianne(Robert) Bush along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services for Teresa. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa’s memory be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Albany Branch, 421 New Karner Rd Ste 6
