Obituary for Stella "Miggie" Mormile (Palmer)

MECHANCIVILLE - Mrs. Stella “Miggie” Mormile, 97, of Viall Ave., died Wednesday, Jan 23rd at Home of the Good Shepherd, Malta, after an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, born Dec 5, 1921, daughter of the late Louis and Carmella Pignatelli Palmer, she was the widow of Paul Mormile, who died in 1979. A homemaker, Miggie was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed crocheting for family and friends, and loved the company of her children’s family and her many siblings and in-laws and their offspring. A communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Stillwater, she was a member of Peters-Purcell Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include three children: Marie (Frank) Bisnett of Stillwater, Paul (Sally) Mormile and Lisa (Albert) DiNardo both of Mechanicville. Grandchildren: Julie (Matt) Pilotti, Andrew K. Bisnett, Antonia (Tyler) Gratton, Laura (Lenny) Baker, Geena (Danny Nelson) DiNardo and Nicholas DiNardo, along with great grandsons Cooper Gratton and Noah Nelson and many nieces and nephews.
Miggie was predeceased by her siblings: Primar and Rose Palmer, Norman and Talisman Palmer, Belmar and Mary Palmer, Joseph and Marietta Palmer, Fay and Dixie Aufiero and Madeline and Ray Marra. Also in-laws Gerald and Louise Mormile, Dom and Frances Marmillo, John and Lena Marmillo, Frank and Edna Marmillo, Philomena Marmillo, Carmella and Bob Morin.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson (St. Peter’s) Church, 895 Hudson Ave., Stillwater, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the Hudson Ave Church on Saturday from 10 Am till 11:45AM
